Surprise Surprise ??

Teenagers. What do they like to do ? What makes them happy ? What exactly goes on in their mind ?

When faced with these questions, what may your answer be ?

Could it be ...

* Hanging out with friends at the fast food joint or gaming arcade ?

* Making marathon phone calls, chatting with friends ?

* Listening to loud music all day long ? The pop, the rock & the hip-hop ?

Or your answer may be like what someone once told me, "they only like to do whatever they want, whenever they want to do it, if they are not told to have to do it".

In a rather surprising report on a survey, it seems that the real answer is quite different.

When the 1,280 participants of the survey aged 13 - 24 were asked what is the one thing that makes them most happy, 20 percent mentioned that it is to spend time with their family.

When I read about this in an article published by CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, I asked myself if it can really be true.

Can it be true, what our teenagers had been claiming when they say that they were always being misunderstood ?

Read more about the survey here and see if it can help us to understand better.

Understanding, not only in what our teenagers are thinking or feeling, but also in how we perceive them or even others.

Linked here to the article mentioned above from Chicago Sun-Times.
