Laughter and Learning
Have you ever heard that laughter facilitates learning? There are theories suggesting that not only does laughter not distract children from learning, it may actually help children learn better. Laughter may help you think and solve problems better. It keeps you healthier, happier, and may even boost your brain power.
Dr William Fry, professor at Stanford University Medical School says, “laughter aids memory and increases alertness and concentration.”
Then how parents can apply laughter to help your children learn more effectively?
For a start, why not surprise your child by sharing a couple of jokes before settling them down to do their school works. A simple jokes can get your child energized and in the mood to learn.
I will like to pen-off with a clean joke ….
A teenager who had just received her provision driving license, offered to drive her mum to church. After a hair-raising ride, they finally reached their destination. The mother got out of the car and said, "Thank you!"
"Anytime," her daughter replied.
Her mum said, "I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to God."
God Bless,
