Releasing Your Child’s Learning Potential – Part 1

No one has to force a little child to learn. Bringing up a child is like watching a continuously unfolding miracle of God’s creation. We as parents or educators need to flow in tune into the learning potentials God has built into his little creations.

Children learn about the world through play, but they do not always know how to organize or direct their play. This is why your child needs you to participate.

One of a biggest boost to learning in children is self-belief. It is amazing what children can achieve when they believe in their own competences and capabilities. Thus, it is very important to praise a child for his effort and make a fuss of his success. Never criticize your young child. Criticism damages their self-confidence and ultimately makes them feel that it is safer not to attempt anything new to avoid risk of failure.

“How you teach is more important than what you teach.” ~Yeo Adrian

Trust me, even as we are working very hard to help our children realize their learning potentials, they are helping you reach yours too. I hope to share with you more on ways of releasing your child’s learning potentials in my coming posts. God Bless …
