For the Next Ten Days

Just a few words before I retire to bed to catch two hours of sleep before leaving for the airport. For the next ten days, I will be visiting Sri Lanka, a country I love so much. Not just because of its beautiful scenery, but also because of its people. Their warm and friendly smiles carry a humble passion for life.

One of the main focus for my visit will be an orphanage that I had visited every year for the past few years. My first visit there happened to be just a few months before the 2004 Tsunami that hit the country. From an occupancy of just twelve children, it went up to almost fourty the following year. Many of the children living there now are without parents due to the Tsunami. For this coming trip, I hope to be able to bring some encouragement and joy to the little ones.

I will not be able to write for the next ten days since internet access is not easily available there. However, I hope to be able to share with you a part of the journey when I return.
